URBAN GREENING PROJECTS

Greener Streets,
Cool Shade

Access to green space boosts our physical and mental health, and makes it easier to enjoy recreation even on warm days. We have several projects designed to make our neighborhoods greener and our sidewalks shadier.

TREES

2,000 new trees offering the sweet relief of sidewalk shade.

Cut your electricity bill by roughly 85% with solar.

Los Angeles Conservation Corps is planting 2,000 new street trees along major walking routes in our neighborhoods, focused on creating shade for commercial and residential areas.

Air

The more we track air pollution, the more we can fight it.

Cut your electricity bill by roughly 85% with solar.

Help us learn more about our air quality by keeping a monitor at your home. Pacoima Beautiful is recruiting people to participate in an Air Quality and Temperature Monitoring Program in partnership with the University of Southern California (USC) Division of Environmental Health and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Luskin Center for Innovation.
