Cleaner Air,
Livable Neighborhoods
Cars powered by gasoline pollute the air we breathe and harm the environment. That’s why we’re bringing cleaner and healthier transportation and mobility options to Pacoima and Sun Valley with electric vehicle charging stations, a new bus route with all electric buses, and improvements that make our streets safer and accessible for pedestrians and cyclists.
Imagine more crosswalks, shadier sidewalks and better access for wheelchairs.
Trust for Public Land is making pedestrian improvements along 2.4 miles of streets, including:
- 900 feet of new sidewalks
- 3 high-visibility crosswalks each on Herrick Avenue and Haddon Avenue
- 10 ADA ramps
- More signs to help find your way
- Plus, for cyclists: 10 bicycle “sharrows” – those arrows that tell drivers to share the road
It’s easier to travel clean when there’s a place to charge your car or park your bike.
Renovate David M. Gonzalez Park
Trust for Public Land is creating 4 mobility hubs that will include:
- Electric vehicle charging stations
- Bicycle parking
- Seating areas
- Public art murals
Bringing more and cleaner transit options to our neighborhood.
A New All-Electric DASH Bus Service.
We’re getting a new bus route! And no dirty exhaust. Electric buses don’t pollute our air, and we’re getting 14 of them with a new DASH bus service that runs right through Pacoima. Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) is creating a new bus route, designed with input from the community. LADOT has committed to electrifying its entire fleet by 2028, and this new Pacoima route is one of the first investments toward that goal.
