A New DASH Route Rolls Out in the Northeast Valley: A Win for Community Advocacy

Green Together Collaborative is anchored in community-led change. This belief was reaffirmed last summer when residents of the Northeast Valley gathered at our community meetings to discuss pressing transportation needs. Their message was clear: more reliable, affordable, and accessible public transit was essential for connecting neighborhoods, reducing emissions, and improving quality of life.

We’re excited to announce that a new DASH route will be launched on May 3rd —expanding much-needed transit options for local residents! You can read details about the route on the LADOT’s website here.

Last summer, we gathered as a community to talk about what we need to make our neighborhoods more connected, accessible, and sustainable—and one thing was loud and clear: better public transit. Fast forward to today, and thanks to YOUR voices, a new DASH route is officially rolling through!

Why This Is a Big Deal

This isn’t just about a new bus stop—it’s about equity, clean air, and easier commutes. Here’s what this new route means for YOU:

  • More Freedom: Whether you’re heading to work, school, or your favorite local spot, getting around just got easier.
  • Cleaner Air: More public transit = fewer cars = better air quality. That’s a win for our health AND the planet!
  • Stronger Communities: Access to reliable, affordable transportation helps everyone thrive.

From Community Meeting to Reality

Remember those community meetings last summer? You shared your challenges—long wait times, limited routes, and needing better connections to essential places. We listened. And now, here we are, celebrating a huge win for the people, by the people!

This is just the beginning. When we come together, real change happens. Stay connected with Green Together Collaborative as we keep pushing for a cleaner, greener, and more connected future.

About The Green Together Collaborative
GTC is supported by a $23 million grant from the California Strategic Growth Council’s Transformative Climate Communities Program, addressing these challenges by creating healthier, more resilient neighborhoods. A key player in this effort is GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles, a nonprofit dedicated to making solar energy accessible to underserved communities through innovative funding, partnerships, and job training.

————————————————————————————————————————–
